InfoRapid CardFile System

Electronic Database · Digital Photo Album · Works with MS Office

Short Description of the Program

The InfoRapid Cardfile System is an electronic database in which you can arrange your data according to chapters. Like in a book, the chapters themselves can contain sub-chapters. Each chapter in the table of contents can be a folder, a card or a page in another card. When opening a card with a click on the table of contents entry, you can use the built-in text editor to enter your data. Using the full text search, you can quickly access all the stored data.

The Cardfile System is also a digital photo album with multiple description lines per photo, and the date and time of the photo. You can navigate using hyperlinks in the photos. The image summary gives an overview of all photos in the cardfile. From this summary you can open photos for viewing at full size, zoom in and out, print them, and copy them to the clipboard. You can display all photos in a database sorted by chapter or keyword. You can also automatically scan photos using a Twain scanner, giving you the ability to digitize your photographs one at a time.

Using the Auto Insert from Clipboard function, the Cardfile System automatically creates cards from the clipboard contents. This allows you to easily collect information for research. While you read a web page, for example, you copy the most interesting text passages to the clipboard. The Cardfile System then creates a new card for each of these text passages and saves them in a folder that you can specify.

The Cardfile System works with MS Office. You can add WinWord, Excel, and PowerPoint documents to your cards using OLE. When you open such a card, the associated MS Office program opens and you can make your changes. These are automatically saved in the database when you close the document.
